Please accept this invitation for our Spring Thaw event, we will be thrilled to see youSunday, April 17 at Farmhouse Evanston from 5 to 8 pm.
We will have a wonderful night of farm-to-table tastings featuring heavy appetizers from Farmhouse’s spring BBQ menu. A large selection of local beer and wine will be served.
Our special guest, Poor Man’s Cow, will be performing their unique blend of musical styles to entertain you. During the Spring Thaw, we invite you to bid on an extraordinary silent auction offering – a privately-catered dinner for eight prepared to your tastes by J and L Catering.
Early bird pricing for tickets purchased through April 4th is $70. Every early bird ticket purchaser will receive a $10.00 GIFT CERTIFICATE redeemable for seedlings at our Annual Seedling Sales, held during the second and third weekends in May at the Howard Street Farm (3669 Howard St., Skokie). After April 4th, tickets will be $75/person.
We are truly looking forward to seeing friends–old and new–at our kickoff event of the season, proudly featuring locally grown food and The Talking Farm family.
Proceeds from the Spring Thaw support The Talking Farm, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, which provides urban agricultural educational opportunities as well as operates the Howard Street Farm, a 2.75 acre urban farm that services the surrounding communities of Skokie, Evanston, northern Chicago and the north shore of Chicagoland.
