Oakton Community College

The Talking Farm was invited by OCC to help design and install brand new community gardens on the front lawn of their Skokie campus. The 2500 square foot garden was created with 20 volunteers over three weekends in May and June. It includes twelve 4x12 foot raised beds, four 2x8 foot raised beds for children, an herb spiral, and a fence, part of which includes a living fence of raspberries. The garden will be tended and harvested by the on-site OCC preschool, OCC staff and students, and community gardeners.
