In celebration of our first full growing season at The Howard Street Farm, The Talking Farm presents, Celebrate the Growing Season, an event featuring appetizers, a buffet dinner, and local brews provided by Farmhouse Evanston, live music by The Greenleaf Band*, and raffle prizes. The evening will begin with passed hors d’oeuvres, and proceed with a buffet dinner in Farmhouse Evanston’s special event space.
All proceeds raised from the event will directly support the organization’s farm operations, volunteer workdays and educational initiatives, as well as raise badly-needed funds for a processing shed to wash vegetables and irrigation for the farm. The Talking Farm, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, cultivates healthy, sustainable communities by supporting the production and appreciation of locally grown food through its extensive educational initiatives and hands-on learning programs.
