Farm Dinner with Peckish Pig

Join The Talking Farm for a special farm dinner fundraiser featuring the food, beer, and cocktails of Peckish Pig who will partner with us to create a 4-course, family-style meal on the Howard Street Farm, The Talking Farm’s 2.5-acre urban farm in Skokie. Chef Deb of Peckish Pig, one of our first restaurant partners, will prepare a meal using vegetables, herbs, and flowers grown on the farm just steps from the farm table. A true farm-to-table experience!

The evening will begin with a welcome reception with passed appetizers and a Peckish Pig signature cocktail created by mixologist Janek Evans. You can mingle and explore the farm’s grow fields and hoop houses, sit and relax in our farm “lounge,” and take a guided farm tour. Then, we’ll sit down to the farm table for a family-style meal prepared by Peckish Pig using the freshest, local vegetables, sustainably grown by Farmers Matt Ryan and Amanda Kritt from The Talking Farm. The meal with be paired with Peckish Pig’s locally-brewed beer. (Wine and non-alcoholic beverages will be available upon request for non-beer drinkers.) We’ll wrap up the night with our tradition of s’mores, spirits, and cordials under the stars. 

Your ticket price supports the urban agriculture educational and farm development projects of The Talking Farm, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit, a portion of which is tax-deductible under the law.

Your ticket includes:

  • Bonfire smores, spirits, and cordials
  • Service, tax, and tip

$150/person including tax+tip. Members receive a 20% discount (refer to your membership email for a special link to purchase tickets at a discounted price). Proceeds from the dinner benefit The Talking Farm, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation and its urban agriculture education and farm development projects.
