Jason grew up along Lily Cache Creek in Bolingbrook and has spent most of his life in the Chicagoland area, having lived in Cook, Lake, DuPage, McHenry, and Will counties, with time spent in Colorado, Arizona, and California as well.
He began a career in agriculture by accident when he began working seasonally at Green Earth Harvest in Naperville in 2015, only because it was close enough to ride his bike to and was a place he could work outside. Some accidents work out quite well.
Jason’s biggest passions surrounding agriculture include turning agriculture into a career path that is as esteemed and pays as well as any other job in the community, making good food accessible to more people, and ending diet culture to create strong food cultures.
An unrelenting but realistic optimist, Jason also enjoys spending active time outside, playing with his niece and nephews, eating, kayaking, riding a bike, and learning more about the world around us.
