How to Help

The Talking Farm needs your help to achieve its mission of providing education, example, and hands-on experience in growing food sustainably.

Donate

To continue to grow The Talking Farm’s 2.5-acre urban farm and support its educational mission, we rely on donations from the community. Each donation helps The Talking Farm produce local, sustainably-grown food, and provide hands-on educational programming.

Corporate Sponsorship

The Talking Farm provides a variety of opportunities for corporate sponsorship. If your company wants to demonstrate to its employees, customers, and clients its commitment to educating the community on the benefits of sustainably-grown food, the environment, urban agriculture, biodiversity, and horticulture, your company should consider becoming a corporate sponsor.

Volunteer

You can volunteer, either individually or as part of a group, at the Howard Street Farm, and help us sustainably farm locally-grown produce! All you need to do is show up to a pre-scheduled work day, or schedule one for your group of 3 or more.

Become A Member

Membership keeps you closely plugged into the farm by providing you with discounts on events, farmers’ markets, farm merchandise, even seedlings! Membership also affords you an option to receive a weekly box of local, sustainably-grown vegetables from the Howard Street Farm in Skokie during the growing season.

Buy Produce

Visit The Talking Farm’s stall at farmers’ markets in Evanston and Skokie or, if you are a restaurant, learn how you can receive deliveries of The Talking Farm’s hyper-local produce at wholesale pricing.

Attend An Event

Attend a farm dinner or the annual Hullabaloo open-house at the Howard Street Farm and see the farm in action.
